ROME: One step closer to World Abstraction
Less than a year after posting our very first article titled "Introducing Rivalz Network", we've made giant leaps in all aspects of our growth. From gathering 1,8 million users to hosting one of the most successful testnets of 2024 with over 250,000,000 TXs, our most advancement progress comes down to one simple thing: We now believe in the agentic future more than ever.
We have refined our vision over the months. What started as a singular module in the form of OCY DePIN has now grown to a cluster of modules under one umbrella, with one purpose: World Abstraction.
One Mission: World Abstraction
In Computer Science, as well as in Art, abstraction represents the process of sidelining complexities, barriers and irrelevant noise to help us achieve a goal.
In our mission, these barriers are preventing AI Agents from achieving a meaningful connection to the resources they need to evolve and have a real impact. These resources range from on-chain data and digital assets to real-world data and physical resources - all and any resources relevant to an Agent or a Swarm's mission.
Our mission is to lift those barriers and build those connections so that AI Agents-Individually or in Swarms, become the connective tissue of Industries around the World and achieve their potential as a foundational technology.
One step closer to World Abstraction - ROME is coming
We are taking another step in that direction with the Introduction of ROME, our Agent Swarm protocol launching in the coming days.
With ROME, we are introducing forward a new utility-based agentic economy, opening the possibility for users to interact Swarms while maintaining direct ownership.
At the core of Rome's AI economy are rAgents (or resource-backed Agents) and Swarms as new primitives in the crypto x AI space, along with DeFi ready tokenization for agents and swarms, creating the foundation of a new decentralized AI economy.
It consists in turning services, compute, data, social capital and even specialized agents into rAgents (tokenized AI agents).
At the heart of this new agentic economy, users own tokenized rAgents as NFTs or as self-sovereign PAGs (Personal AI Agents) and earn fees through rAgent lending mobilized around AI-driven tasks. ROME also unlocks a new dimension where users can join forces and directly contribute to larger AI-driven operations by staking their rAgents into Swarms.
ROME’s functions goes beyond tokenization—it is a vital block of the Rivalz infrastructure, spearheading our World Abstraction mission and giving Agents unprecedented access to physical, human and digital resources, allowing them to transcend their current limitations.
